Vivo has now officially announced Vivo V50 launch date in India. Leaks of the device hinted at its expected features, which suggests that the device is a rebranded version of the Vivo S20, which debuted in China in November 2024.

Vivo has confirmed the launch of Vivo V50 in India on February 17 at 12pm IST in a post posted on X. Flipkart and Amazon will also officially sell the phone online along with the Vivo India e-store. The official teasers have confirmed that the phone will be offered in Rose Red, Starry Blue, and Titanium Grey color options.
Vivo company revealed that the device will be packed up with AI features like Circle to Search, Transcript Assist, and Live Call Translation as well as AI-backed photo imaging and editing features like Erase 2.0 and Light Portrait 2.0.
The phone comes with a quad-curved display and carries a powerful 6,000mAh battery. The device is confirmed to support 90W wired fast charging, and it is said to have a 7.39mm thin profile.
Vivo claims that the device will be the slimmest smartphone in the segment with a 6,000mAh battery. It has IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
The Vivo V50 is confirmed to get a dual rear camera unit along with a 50-megapixel main sensor with OIS support and a 50-megapixel ultrawide shooter alongside an Aura Light feature. On the other hand, the front camera is confirmed to have a 50-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls.
The Vivo V50 smartphone comes with a quad-curved display with Android 15-based FuntouchOS 15. As per leaks, the phone will likely be powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. It is expected to have 12GB + 512 GB RAM and storage configuration and is expected to support 12GB of virtual RAM expansion as well.
